The philosophical approach of Marica Costigliolo translates the impossibility of changing the state of things, in to the various expressive declinations of art, in order to escape from a sense of earthly imprisonment and impotence. In the dialogue between inside and outside, between the self and the reality, a potential meeting ground is created, a potential meeting ground with the other, where the subject as author disappears to make room for the “how” of this experience. And the author focuses precisely on the “how” of the creative act. Her works don’t appear to have a purely descriptive, much less imaginative, quality of reality. Rather, they exist on the border between these two conceptual spheres, in the “uncomfortable” space behind the scenes, where the creation takes place.

Marica Clo Costigliolo is an artist based in Trentino, Northern Italy.
After musical studies she graduated in Philosophy. Marica attended sculpture courses at the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa, ceramic courses at the School of Albisola. She exhibits in Genoa, at the collective exhibition Quarto Pianeta and in individual exhibitions in Genoa and Trentino. Her artistic research develops on the themes of nature and female body through painting, sculpture, writing, music, and mixed media.

Merimaailmasta
Merimaailmasta è il duo musicale composto da Michelangelo Giuseppe Pala e Marica Clo Costigliolo.
Michelangelo è chitarra, basso, percussioni, voce. Marica è viola, violino, ukulele, voce. Gli obiettivi del duo Merimaailmasta (in finlandese significa Mondi marini) sono: proporre brevi brani musicali scaricabili gratuitamente e realizzare eventi musicali e artistici in presenza per diffondere la conoscenza delle artiterapie.
